THE STRATEGY OF MOUNTAINS

Psalm 125:2 says "As the mountains surround Jerusalem so the Lord surrounds His people both now and forevermore." God uses mountains to symbolize His personal intimate protection of His people. God Himself surrounds and has personal care over Israel. There are three strategies for mountains. The enemy has a strategy for mountains whereby he uses mountains in our lives to bring fear which intern opens the door for satanic attacks against our lives. Just as Rome and the crusaders used mountains in Jerusalem to launch attacks against Israel so satan uses mountains to launch attacks against us. However God uses mountains to bring deep assurance of His near presence and protection which increases our faith in His personal protection and His personal care for us. God uses mountains to make us strong. Man uses mountains to show his earthly wealth and status such as building grand homes there to show his achievements.
