Title: Feed My Sheep: The Effective Christian Leader, Author: Lemuel Baker

By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
I wanted to create a work that would make comprehensive easy to read and hard hitting for Christian Leaders that could bring us back to our first love. My second goal was to compile a work that would help Christian leaders become effective leaders by forming a philosophy for life and for ministry congruent to the will of God for their lives. I hope to accomplish these goals within the contents of this book. The book is insightful in many ways such as the importance of the Church as a critical part of secular society and mental health as a pathology that needs to be mitigated even among the constituents of the Church. Unfortunately erroneous practices, beliefs, behaviors and teachings had to be addressed because I believe many people will come to their senses about given subjects if they receive proper explanations. A logical and scriptural perspective is given in order to help some get on track with regards to their beliefs, philosophy and actions. Hot topics discussed are Ephesians 4:11 endowments of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. A special chapter is dedicated to the role of women in the Church which unfortunately is a topic that is still a concern for many Christians around the world. There are concepts that are presented that all work towards bringing an individual to full order and to full congruence with the will of God for Leaders. An awareness to the importance of feeding sheep is a central topic of this 269 page hand book for all Christian leaders that emphasizes the God given responsibility for Pastors and leaders that are non-negotiable. Every Christian leader and aspiring leader must read this book before assuming ministry, during ministry and after ministry to review their performance awaiting the day when Jesus will hand out rewards for service especially crowns designated specifically for leaders who were faithful. There is so much more such as how to feed sheep and what diet is essential such as when feeding sheep we must feed a good balance of both the word and the anointing to achieve full spiritual health. We discuss the importance of the local Church and what research says about the congregation we speak to each time services are held. You may be surprised at the needs that are present each time you speak and the responsibility you have to be a vessel through whom God can do an actual intervention into the life of an attendee to prevent misfortune. You wont be disappointed. Every seminary, bible college, and Church must make this book a part of their curriculum, required reading and library.

Title: THE MANY FACES OF JUDAISM: Jewish Studies for The Busy Person, Author: LEMUEL BAKER PhD
By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
Over the past 10 years there has been a keen interest in Jewish Studies as it relates to Christianity and I wanted to help bring authentic information regarding Judaism to several audiences that will bring each from a near ideologue to ideologues. As I traveled I noticed some people were familiar with terms from Judaism but did not know the meaning of the terms, traditions or protocols. I hope to lay a foundation of Judaism with Christians, media professionals and those who serve politically. There are several compelling reasons to present Judaism to an audience that is interested in the Jewish roots of the Christian Bible. There is an apologetic perspective whereby many Christians have nagging questions about the Bible and even frustrated regarding where to find the actual answers. This book provides many of those answers. God requires all Christians to have understanding about Christianity and the belief system they adhere to. The answers to Judaism as it pertains to our Old and New Testament are not obvious and require a command of Judaism to include the Tanakh and the Talmud that provide answers and explanations of what the Old and New Testaments are really saying. Any person who reads this 179 page book will have a command of Judaism and how it relates to Christianity that is above average and will also have an authentic perspective not a romantic perspective. Christianity without realizing it can push Jews far from them especially Orthodox Jews because we do not understand their scheme of thinking and how esoteric their beliefs are. To connect with Jews one must understand how they think and find the wisdom regarding their beliefs and values. The book is powerful and will provide insight as to Israel and their raison d' etre or the purpose that justifies a things existence. Israel was designed to be a leadership nation to the entire world and is still in birth pains with regards to this God ascribed objective. To give you a hint to some of the conclusions I will share this much with you. God has given every people group a purpose in relationship to the entire world to make a unique contribution. The ancient Phoenicians contributed mathematics for example that benefited the entire planet. The Greeks contributed literature that are still beloved writings of antiquity for the entire planet to enjoy. Israel is the only nation and people group given the two-fold objective to receive the law directly from God and secondly to disseminate God's law to the entire planet. These laws are the only laws that could keep the planet sound and congruent to God's system and His way of doing things. In the midst of this two-fold purpose God chose Israel to bring forth our Messiah. Only Israel was set aside to bring forth Messiah who would save the entire world. If it weren't for Judaism there would be no Christianity. The Christian Old Testament is translated verbatim from the Tanakh or the Jewish Bible in a different sequence but the books are the same. I have given you much from the book already but there is a lot more so enjoy the book and may God answer many of your questions.

Title: Misunderstood: Difficult Concepts of the Bible, Author: Lemuel Baker
By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
I wanted to write a book that answered some of the confusing questions that nag Christians and which the answers seem difficult to come by. By answering some of these questions I hope to bring edification and spiritual growth, strength and maturity so readers may intern answer these same questions for others. God wants all of us to have peace of spirit as well as peace of mind. The first four chapters cover the subject of "covenant" especially as the topic relates to the rapture, rest and tithing. Chapters four and five cover God's covenant as it pertains to scriptural prosperity. In subsequent chapters you will walk away fulfilled with insights about the ´Lord´s Prayer´ Psalm 91 ´the secret place´ and much more. The rapture has been a topic that is still not a point of full assurance for many Christians. This 173 page book ties the rapture to God's covenant that provides logic and in so doing much assurance about the rapture for the born again believer. Tithing is still a point of debate among Christians some adherents believing the tithe is a concept from the Old Testament and this misunderstood topic is discussed from scripture. You wont be disappointed. The topic of rest is another area that Christians may struggle with and this book ties spiritual rest to the covenant of God. Comfort is a topic that needs to be discussed and a subject that needs to move from mental ascent to a reality for many. God's covenant has provision for rest. This book discusses God's covenant in such a manner to the degree that we understand a provision of God's covenant misunderstood which is God's covenant requires Him to seek out even the backslider when they stray. In our covenant with God, God is married to the backslider during the worst times of rebellion and works to seek reconciliation. God's covenant is a full proof covenant. This understanding is often misunderstood. God''s covenant is so perfect and airtight it makes the best prenuptial contract seem like a toy. The topic of prosperity is most misunderstood but from scripture is discussed in a refreshing manner. I hope you enjoy this book and I believe it will strengthen you spiritually.

Title: EXPLANATION: Christian Apologetics for the Busy Person, Author: Lemuel Baker
By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
I believe the reason many in the media, in academia and in politics have not accepted the gospel is we as Christians have not explained the gospel to them in a manner that makes sense. If people understood the gospel they would receive it. When the gospel message is understood, they would like it because it is good news that brings happiness to a hopeless soul. The central goal for Christian Apologetics is most purely stated as handling objections and further honest objections standing in the way of individuals coming to faith. In this compact book designed concisely for busy people who need solid answers about the Christian belief system one will come away with solid answers and with the awakening of logical and critical thinking regarding biblical claims. Disciplines such as Archeology, History, Astronomy, Jewish Studies and Natural Sciences are separate disciplines that support bible claims and when explored give peace of mind to adherents of Christianity but also to those of other belief systems who seek an objective scholarly study of the Christian Bible. Apologetics which means a defense of the faith, to defend a position, to persuade, providing evidence sufficient to bringing a trial from an arraignment stage to a full blown trial, which was recorded by the Apostle Peter and engaged by the Apostle Paul, in a literal sense when he stayed in Corinth for a year and a half just to teach, to reason with and to answer questions for the Corinthian believers and seekers who had honest questions. The Apostle Paul also engaged apologetics when persuading King Agrippa and Festus. The great Apostle Paul knew by the leading of The Holy Spirit when to preach, when to teach and when to sit with people and when to answer their questions so that the barriers to their believing would be removed. See Acts 18:11 which records "So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God." I believe the reason many in the media, in academia and in politics have not accepted the gospel is we as Christians have not explained the gospel to them in a manner that makes sense. If people understood the gospel they would receive it. You are in for a treat and instant growth just by reading this 103 page book. The contents are concise but derived from a first year seminary level course in Christian Apologetics formatted for a busy person to read in short bites. You wont be the same. God Bless You.

Title: FOCUSED PRAYING: SHIFTING GEARS FROM PASSIVE TO FERVENT PRAYER, Author: LEMUEL BAKER
By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
This book was written during a period of my life when my spiritual life shifted to an understanding of the authority of every believer as it pertains to prayer. I realized that the Holy Spirit can help each of us break out of passivity and shift into fervent focused prayer exercising full authority over the enemy in prayer. The information in this book helps to accommodate that shift. The principle of speaking to the mountain is not an optional exercise but critical to our fulfilling a long satisfying life. I pray you receive the divine shift in your spirit as you read this 141 page book. There comes a time in every Christians life when the thought comes to mind even more than once this situation has gone too far and is out of control. During these times we begin to yearn for answers to our circumstances that are magnanimous. Initially we may blame men for the circumstances but intuitively and scripturally we begin to suspect there is an evil force called the enemy who controls and influences people and situations. Many times we end up in such a pickle it takes a miracle to get us out of the situation. The Holy Spirit is always ready to raise a standard against satan through us and this requires a genuine spiritual shift in our spirit man from a passive mode to a commanding mode mixed with strong faith. This book grants awareness of this spiritual shift and shows how critical it is and how logical and how natural it is to make this spiritual shift as part of functioning in God's Kingdom to achieve longevity. Some of the topics covered are the role of angels that minister for us, only mature Christians can fight successfully, dealing with the enemies within us before we can address the enemy outside us and so on. God wants to see us experience the victory through Jesus Christ along with character to have faith in God during severe hopeless trials.

Title: DO KINGS DRINK WINE: SHOULD CHRISTIANS DRINK ALCOHOL, Author: LEMUEL BAKER PhD
By LEMUEL BAKER, PHD
The Bible admonishes those who are in high ranks of the Church and in secular society to omit alcohol usage from their lifestyle especially those whose actions influence others. The more responsibility one has is a key indicator to avoid alcohol usage in any form. We must decide is being a Christian without having an official rank in society or in the Church lofty enough to consider this rule? You decide. Each Christian is a "King and Priest" unto God and his behavior is influencial and representative of the "Most High God." Over the years I have come across Christians who cannot overcome bad habits. I know Christians who still use alcohol in varying degrees and I pray that this book will challenge Christians who consume alcohol to take a second look at alcohol as it relates to God's will for their lives. Bad habits cause us to live below our status as Kings and Priests unto God. Note alcohol is addictive and is poisonous as a chemical substance thus wisdom should be employed before introducing alcohol to our bodies via any beverage or food. The goal of this book is to help the reader make the necessary changes and overcome bad habits with the help of God the Holy Spirit. I pray that God bless you richly through this 65 page book and that you have a life changing experience. The conversation about alcohol to include wine continues even 2,000 years after the birth of the Church with intense feelings for or against in many sects within Christianity. To borrow from political behavioral terminology we can say there are conservative ideology, centrist ideology and liberal ideology concerning the use of alcohol. Conservatives refuse to touch wine or alcohol, centrists believe alcohol occasionally is acceptable and liberals believe alcohol can be used regularly. The issue is not that hard to analyze but the analysis may be somewhat complex when studied from the bible. There is a solid conclusion not a nebulous conclusion and hopefully with this straight forward book, easy to read any person can reach a biblical conclusion for themselves. A hint to consider as one researches God's intention for fermented alcohol is what are the potential fall outs for those in high ranks of the Church and society if they assume a conservative, centrist or liberal posture concerning alcohol. Also consider as you read is a Christian above the use of alcohol regardless of the earthly position, status or responsibility they may fill. From God's perspective the born again Christian is a "King and Priest" unto God. This spiritual position is also an important spiritual status to consider as pertaining to the use of alcohol for a Christian. The spiritual condition of your heart before God on a personal level is also an essential issue to consider with regards to the use of alcohol. I pray that God will firmly and tenderly touch you at the core of your spirit, heal any deep spiritual pain and enable you to see from His perspective from a personal level the answer to the question "Do Kings Drink Wine."
FORMAT: Softcover and E-book

If you are a leader or professional at any level or discipline the information in this 192 page book is of time sensitive importance to you.

To achieve global influence, leaders at any level or discipline must take some time to become familiar with the critical issues of our time, 21st century issues that influence our lives. When we begin to understand the critical issues of our time the religious community can then provide intelligent input bringing God's influence to a society which has challenges that require the right solutions from people with the right motives who can be trusted. The ancient statesman Daniel was an excellent example of bringing God's influence at very high levels only because he was assessed by his peers to be of an excellent spirit, well rounded, educated, intelligent, managing his weight, diet, emotions and spirit well. He was very intelligent, emotionally stable and intensely spiritual. What a package!

As a result he was well respected and was given great access to matters of great consequence. Saint Paul also advocated being of an excellent spirit when he stated "let your magnanimity be known to all men." Saint Paul had the same profile as the statesman Daniel which also gave Saint Paul great access and great influence. Important chapters of this book deal with mental health disorders and the role of the Church, mitigating mental health disorders, generational cohorts and their differences, how to manage millennials, millennial leadership and intergenerational dynamics.

As leaders we must grasp that when we implement good ideas these ideas will get us close to winning and no further but if we omit the right ideas we will always come close but never succeed. Good ideas are needed for maintenance but the right ideas always get us across the line to be an influencer. This book is designed to equip the reader regarding salient issues facing 21st century leaders such as 'immigration and the new era of world displacement,' so that God can open doors giving you access and so that you can bring godly influence to a world that needs solutions. Other global topics addressed in this book affecting all of us in the 21st century are 'Christian persecution, Climate Change, Black cities in crisis and fixing the animus associated with police departments.' We must wrap our hands around these complicated issues.

To become the 'best of the best,' the religious community must take some time to wrap their arms around religious issues identifying subtle causes that are not so obvious and which create challenges that go unsolved. When we begin to understand the critical issues within the religious community, create definite action plans to resolve them, the religious community can then provide godly wisdom bringing change among all cohort groups represented.

The ancient statesman Daniel was an excellent example of bringing God's influence at very high levels only because he was assessed by his peers to be of an excellent spirit, well rounded, educated, intelligent, managing his physical health, his emotions and spirit well. He was very intelligent, emotionally stable and intensely spiritual. His prophesies were accurate, he was known to be devout and yet on the ball with regards to his governmental duties. What a package! As a result he was well respected and was given great access to matters of great consequence.

Saint Paul also advocated being of an excellent spirit when he stated " let your magnanimity be known to all men." Saint Paul had the same profile as the statesman Daniel which also gave Saint Paul great access and great influence. This 248 page book addresses twenty three different topics and a considerable portion of this book discusses generational cohorts especially the millennial generational cohort, how they function in society and in the Church. The foundational document of the Christian belief system the Bible is presented underscoring the psycho-spiritual effect of scripture and addresses primary learning styles that are critical for parishioners when sharing scripture.

This book also discusses the term 'endowment' and provides understanding of our spiritual gifts. The topics of managing Church attendance, how to communicate Christianity as a belief system, managing pride in your organization, why should we schedule prayer times and commentaries of Psalm 91, Psalm 23, the Book of Proverbs and the Lord's Prayer are discussed. Other topics covered are happiness is a benefit we fail to embrace, the biblical model for selecting an elected official and so much more. According to the United Nations World Health Organization - W.H.O., mental health disorders are increasing in the global population and I designed a chapter that discusses mental health and the Church. If you are a leader at any level and of any discipline this chapter is very important. You will benefit from a balanced presentation of the very practical, the very spiritual combined and from topics that we must be able to assimilate.

The chapter on the Book of Proverbs deals with wisdom and how critical it is as wisdom pertains to quality of life. As leaders we must grasp that when we implement good ideas these ideas plus confidence will allow us to succeed but if we omit the right ideas we may come close to winning but never succeed. Good ideas are needed for maintenance but the right ideas that come from God's wisdom always get us across the line to win in life and to be successful.

God intends the religious community to be the best of the best because unlike every other discipline, religion advocates morality at the very highest level thus it is scrutinized at the highest level. This ascribed scrutiny is the cross every Christian is assigned to carry. Each person is obligated to be 'the best of the best' because of who we represent. Let us not be culpable of misrepresenting God to the world intentionally or unintentionally but instead from the bottom of our heart say to God ' mea culpa ' Lord I confess my sin, I am guilty, please forgive me, then make the necessary changes.

This 166 page book is a sequel work to my signature book 'The Many Faces of Judaism.' The first seven chapters of this book deals with central causes of the sometimes unpopular relationship between the United States and Israel and Israel and the rest of the world for that matter. The chapters also explain the US-Israel covenant story telling the story for a new generation. Major attention is given to Israeli-Palestinian conflict and where it will end up. Will there ever be peace between Israel and the Palestinians is a question answered in chapter 5 of this book.

The remaining chapters in section part II pick up where my book 'The Many Faces of Judaism' left off. My goal as it pertains to part II of this book is to create a sequel work to my signature book 'The Many Faces of Judaism' which is an introduction to Judaism while this book addresses intermediate issues and more complex concepts of Jewish Studies especially as it pertains to the nation of Israel, its relation to the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom as well as to the Arabic world. This work address more complex issues of Judaism, some nuances, geo-political issues and foreign policy issues facing Israel.

This book is also designed to help western societies understand Judaism so that adequate foreign policy can be created when addressing Israel as a nation and to help lay a foundation towards effective reporting by syndicated media. Intermediate topics such as Intifadas, the International Criminal Court Strategy, Israel and the making of foreign policy, Israel geo-political and US-Israeli relations are presented.

You will receive a greater understanding of who Israel really is, of Judaism as a belief system and of Israel's geo-political challenges regarding the rest of the world. Part II of this  book is a sequel work to my signature book The Many Faces of Judaism focuses on the spiritual aspects of Judaism and as Judaism pertains to Christianity such as set prayer times that Christianity received from Judaism. The Festivals of Chanukkah and Purim are discussed in more detail building on the foundations given in my previous book for beginners, Judaism for the busy person, The Many Faces of Judaism.
